Health & Physical Activity Manager

Location: Wokingham 
Contract: Full Time (39 Hours p/w), Permanent Contract
Salary: £22,000 - £24,000 p/a

We are currently looking for a highly motivated health and physical activity manager for our leisure management contract in Wokingham.  The role of the health & physical activity manager is to work in partnership with Wokingham Borough Council and a range of local partners to take responsibility for the growth and development of a sports development, health and wellbeing and physical activity delivery plan, providing initiatives to address local needs and priorities. The role will oversee and manage a range of programmes and initiatives for the benefit of 1Life service users and the wider community. This will involve the management of coaches and volunteers as well as holding responsibility for securing external funding and driving participation.

We are looking for proactive, self motivated, passionate individuals who would like to make a difference to peoples lives and ultimately encourage everyone to get the most out of life.  
You will be joining a growing team of health and physical activity managers from across our current contracts, working towards the company vision – To engage with people and communities, to enhance lives through health and wellbeing, sport and activity, learning and the arts.

Area Development Officer: South West 

Company: Table Tennis England 
Location: South West 
Contract: Maternity Cover for up to 13 months, Full Time 35 hours per week
Salary: £22,000-£27,000 (Dependent on experience)

We are looking for a highly motivated, skilled individual to be part of our South West Area field team. The role will be integral to driving up participation in the South West, with a likely geographic focus on Bournemouth and Southampton and an area wide focus on communications and club development.

Table Tennis England is the National Governing Body for table tennis in England. During 2013 and 2014 the organisation undertook a complete review of its strategic direction including a significant restructure and governance review to align the organisation with new targets through to March 2017 and beyond. This coincided with a re-branding exercise and a relocation of the Head Office function to Milton Keynes in March 2014. These factors signal a major change in the growth and development of table tennis in the years ahead. 

This role will be part of Table Tennis England’s strategic priority to increase participation of adults and young people with a focus on the Bournemouth and Southampton. The post holder will work as part of the Development Team and with key stakeholders and partners to initiate, co-ordinate and drive table tennis development through targeted initiatives including Ping! and priority zone plans.

Girls Player Development Centre Assistant Coach U13

Location: RAF Naphill, High Wycombe
Session: Monday's 7.00 pm - 8.30 pm
Salary: £15.00 per hour x 1.5 hours (Practical Coaching Sessions)

Responsible to: Berks & Bucks FA FDO/ Berks & Bucks FA Centre Manager
Purpose of post: Deliver practical football sessions in line with the FA Girls’ Player Development Centre technical programme

Start Date: September 2015

Responsible for;
 Providing high quality coaching and support
 Implementing a training and games programme in line with LTPD guidelines
 To support the Head Coach
 The welfare of players within their designated age group
Key skills and Experience Required: Essential
 FA Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Football
 FA Youth Award Module 1 and 2
 FA Licensed
 FA Emergency Aid Certificate
 Knowledge and understanding of child protection issues including holding a current FA Safeguarding Children Workshop Certificate
 An accepted Enhanced FA CRC (Criminal Record Check within the last 3 years)
 Experience in coaching girls’ football
 An understanding of current FA Girls Pathway and local grassroots girls football
 Have knowledge and understanding of child development and be sensitive to children’s needs
 Willingness to work weekdays (3 across season) and attend training events when required
 Own transport essential
Key Skills and Experienced Required: Desirable
 An understanding of Talent Identification
 An appreciation of Long Term Player Development
 Knowledge and understanding of working with young players
 Ability to work in a team environment
 Understanding of the FA Girls’ England Talent Pathway
